Aims and Scope
Me’yar is a bi-annual, double-blind peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Urdu, International Islamic University, Islamabad. Since its inception, Me’yar has been devoted to upholding high academic standards and has been officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in the Y Category.The journal provides a credible platform for scholarly inquiry into diverse fields of Urdu language, literature, criticism, linguistics, and allied disciplines.
As an interdisciplinary academic journal, Me’yar encompasses a wide spectrum of research themes, addressing classical, modern, and contemporary trends in Urdu studies. It serves as a bridge between traditional literary scholarship and emerging research paradigms, thereby contributing to the intellectual expansion of Urdu studies at both national and international levels.
