Abstract

Masnavi  Chandain was written in 779 AH by Mula Muhammad Dawood, the first urdu poetry ever in urdu language. It is basically the love story of chanda and Lorak  which  was  very  popular  at  that time, which people used to tell Gaga. It belonged to Goder City. Saido Meher was the ruler of that city and Chand was the daughter of that ruler. The main characters of this Masnavi  are Chanda, Lorak, Said Meher and Mena. Chanda the daughter of Saido Meher was the beautifull girl, as beautifull as her name  "Chanda". Many  boys  were  freed,  even  Raja  Rup Chand attacked  on  Godar  due  to  his  blind love with Chanda. Raja Rup Chand was defeated by a great Soldier Lorak. After eachother's love  and  started  their  hard  time in love, because Lorak was  already  married, his wife Mena  a  loyal  woman  came  to  her  husband's  unfaithfulness and forcing  Lorak  to  return  home but brought, Lorak chanda alongwith the world. He assured his true love.
