Abstract

The article critically investigates the Allama Iqbal's concept of philanthropy in Islamic modernism in the perspectives of contemporary religious scholars and religious literature. Iqbal's theory of philanthropy   is not a work being done in ecstasy or out of nowhere but it has a brief background of untiring efforts. From studying philosophy to rest of the global disciplines, from eastern literatures to the western literature Iqbal has voyaged the theory of humanitarianism. The humanitarian ideal is always universal in poetry and philosophy. Help and guidance has been taken from the research work of different scholars۔Allama Iqbal's poetry, ideology and philosophy are deeply affected by humanistic moral valves. In Allama Iqbal's poetry ideology and philosophy is the strong effect of humanistic moral values that can be observed everywhere. He has mentioned humanity in his poetry with so much love, care and affection, examples of which is never found in the history. He was a great interpreter of humanism. Iqbal believed that to bring revolution in outer world it is necessary to transform inner world.۔Allama Iqbal in his poetry emphasized the human values like fear and hope gloom and joy, modesty and self respect, struggle, equality, compassion, mercy and love. He in the history of world literature is the greatest poet of humanism.

The main purpose of this study is to probe deeply the philosophy of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal through the concept of divine love. This paper tried to analytically explore the Iqbal's perspective about the factors influencing the human life and a man's approach towards being a human and humanism.
