Abstract
Nasir Abbas Nayyar’s short story encapsulates multidimensional perspectives. Nevertheless, the present article studies his short story in the perspective of decolonization. The study concludes that Nasir’s short story reveals resistance against imperialistic behaviours in post colonial societies and subverts center/margins hierarchy and dominant power structures, as they are prevalent in post colonial societies, contemporary imperialism or exploitative nature of patriarchal structures. Nasir’s short story employs dreams, illusions, superstitions and mythological stories as a tool to construct a counter discourse of imperialistic narrative.
