  • Marmaduke Pickthall Marmaduke Pickthall (1875-1936) was a Western Islamic scholar, known primarily for his translation of the Qur'an into English. A convert from Christianity to Islam, Pickthall was a novelist, poet and author. He was also the founder-editor of lslamic Culture, Hyderabad.
