Syed Imam Bakhsh Azim Abadi visited various Muslim Countries in his three travels during the years 1227/1812; 1229/1814 and 1234/1819. He compiled details of these travels under the title Siyar al-Bilad Khadim, in three volumes. The narrative provids an interesting account of the cultural, religious and academic conditions in the areas which are now known as U.A.E (some sea ports), Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran. The only extant complete manuscript of this work is available in the Malik Abdul Aziz Library Madinah. This article attempts to introduce the author and his work, for the first time.
