Abstract
Islamic thought is one of the most prominent and vast disciplines of religious studies. It includes faith, ethics, history, culture, civilization, political science and sociology etc. Islamic Research Institute has made an up to the mark academic and intellectual contribution in this regard from its very beginning and has produced enormous amount of literature in the said fields. Recently the institute has decided to publish a special number of research journals of IRI- Fikr-o Nazar to bring the academic, social and legislative efforts of IRI, in this regard, to the limelight.
The present article is an analytical study of some selected books published by the institution regarding the said discipline. These books may be divided into three major categories. The first category includes the books which are based on pure research and creative efforts of scholars. The second category includes books translated from other languages into English, and the third category includes the compilation of related articles of different experts on various aspects of a specific issue. This paper describes briefly the introduction of books and methods of the authors adopted in it along with the elaboration of important characteristics which provide guideline and would be useful for reader in understanding the book. The researcher has adopted analytical and descriptive method for this article.
It is a condition of publication in this journal that authors assign copyright or license publication rights of their articles to the Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad. This enables IRI to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Furthermore, the authors are required to secure permission if they want to reproduce any figure, table, or extract from the text of another source. This applies to direct reproduction as well as "derivative reproduction" (where you have created a new figure or table which derives substantially from a copyrighted source).
