Abstract

In the modern age the currency note and Hundi as well as their modes of dealing have changed. Consequently, we see different and new approaches to money changing. The various modes have also generated variety of new instructions. These changes require the scholars to revisit their earlier opinions to address new questions raised by these changes. The present system of Hundi and currency pos es problem that call for finding solutions, not contradictry to the rules of 'Shariah' e.g. it does not lead to the interest based methods of financial dealing. This paper examines the current methods of monetary transactions in the light of Shariah Injunctions
