Abstract

Islam places a strong emphasis on the concept of peace and has provided a comprehensive code of conduct for achieving it. Peace is seen as a catalyst for positive change within societies. While cultural and civilization differences can influence behavior, attitudes, and ways of thinking, these differences should not be considered as decisive as they are often perceived. Human beings should strive to understand each other. The Quran encourages harmony and dialogue between different traditions and cultures, offering a space for cooperation and conversation. Bridging the gaps between traditions and cultures can create an atmosphere of concord and facilitate the resolution of conflicts and disputes.

In Pakistan, extremism and hatred have assumed alarming proportions. The roots of growing extremism in Pakistan cannot be attributed to a single element; rather, a multitude of internal and external factors have played a role in it. The internal political, educational, and economic situation, along with the lack of law enforcement, contributes to the worsening issues in Pakistan. At the international level, Pakistan's involvement in wars, resentment from the West, clashes of cultures, and other issues have further deteriorated the country's economic and political conditions. The impact of all these situations on the general public leads to the development of extremist ideologies. The concept of peace emerges as a guiding light for humanity.
