Abstract

The position of Hadīth is conceded in Islamic sciences. It is not only the interpretation of Holy Quran and the source of Islamic law, but also the way of life, foundation of ethics, history of nations and the depository of divine secrets. With it life of humankind arose and grew up. The companions of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] and, later, their successors preserved this prophetic heritage and set the principles by which we can differentiate between sound hadith and week one. These principles are called ''‘Usūl al-Ḥadīth''. ‘Usūl al-Ḥadīth'' is divided to five major branches, one of them is "Jarḥ w Taʼdīl''. In the branch of "Jarḥ w Ta‘dīl'' Muḥaddithīn choose some sentences or specific words to designate the rank of the narrator. Sometimes they deduce these sentences and words from the ''Holy Qur ‘an''. In this article the author has collected these kinds of sentences, which are deduced from the verses of Qur ‘an.
