متطلبات تحضير طلب النشر

كجزء من عملية تقديم طلب النشر، على المؤلفين التأكد من كون طلباتهم مستوفية لجميع الفقرات الآتية، وعليه، فقد تُرد الطلبات التي لا تلبي تلك الضوابط.
  • هذا المؤلَّف لم يسبق له النشر، ولم يُعرض على مجلة علمية أخرى للنظر فيه (أو هناك توضيح بشأن هذا الأمر مقدم إلى هيئة التحرير في خانة التعليقات)
  • ملف التقديم هو بإحدى الصيغ الآتية: OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, WordPerfect
  • حيثما تطلب الأمر، أضيفت روابط للمراجع المستعملة في المؤلَّف (الروابط هي وصلات إلى العناوين على الشبكة العنكبوتية)
  • فقرات النص ذات تباعد مفرد للأسطر، بحجم خط (12) نقطة، تم فيه استعمال الخط المائل بدلاً عن الخط التحتاني (باستثناء عناوين الروابط)، وجميع الرسوم والأشكال والجداول متوضعة ضمن النص المتعلق بها عوضاً عن تجميعها في نهاية الملف
  • إن نص المؤلَّف مقيد بالمتطلبات النمطية والأسلوبية الواردة في دليل المؤلِّف, الموجود في النص التعريفي بالمجلة ضمن هذا الموقع

إرشادات المؤلف

Submission of Manuscripts

Note that at present the Law Review does not accept submissions on disk, by fax, or by email. All manuscripts are to be submitted through Open Journal Management System (OJS). Manuscripts are required to be submitted in MS word files through Open Journal System (OJS) i.e., http://irigs.iiu.edu.pk:64447/ojs/index.php/ilr/index. It is assumed that the manuscripts submitted to the Law Review are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Editorial correspondence should be addressed to the Editor, Islamabad Law Review, Faculty of Shariah and Law or through E‑mail at: ilr@iiu.edu.pk.

Manuscripts

The Islamabad Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited articles, essays and book reviews. While the Law Review will consider articles of any length, it particularly interested in receiving concise scholarship of between 5000 to 8000 thousand words. Commentaries and book reviews will, of course, be substantially shorter.

Each manuscript should be typed in double-space. Contributors are requested not to bind the pages will anything other than a single staple or a binder-clip. Contributions are reviewed anonymously, without regard to the author’s name, affiliation, prior publication, or pending publication offers. To facilitate on anonymous review process, please confirm your name, affiliation, and biographical information to a detachable cover page. Please also include manuscript’s title on the first page.

  • Abstracts

The authors are required to submit an abstract, not exceeding 250 words along with their manuscripts.

  • Keywords

The authors are expected to provide a shortlist of keywords. Keywords are a tool to help indexers and search engines find relevant papers. If database search engines can find the manuscript, readers will be able to find it too. This will increase the number of people reading the manuscript, and likely lead to more citations.

However, to be effective, Keywords must be chosen carefully. They should:

  • Represent the content of your manuscript
  • Be specific to your field or sub-field
  • References

Contributors are requested to use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should preferably to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (17th ed. 2000), copyright by the Columbia Law Review, the Harvard Law Review, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, the Yale Law Journal. To this this book the Law Review makes some modifications in the light of the Chicago Manual of Style (16th rev. ed.), especially for the requirements of Islamic law. The Law Review does not expect contributors to be aware of all these requirements, but they are requested to provide full citations in whatever form they are accustomed to and these will be converted according to the requirements of the Law Review.

Loanwords and Foreign Words

Words in Arabic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish, and Urdu should follow this journal’s transliteration scheme. Tables are provided the previous page to facilitate transliteration of Arabic and Urdu terms.

Drawings, Illustrations and Tables

Original drawings should preferably be submitted in a form ready for printing. Each illustration should bear a number, the author’s name, and the title of the paper. Tables should be clear and comprehensible.

Copy-editing

The Editor reserves the right to copy-edit and make necessary alterations in the material contributed for publication. The Editor also reserves the right to modify or omit any material deemed inappropriate for publication.
