This study investigates the phonetic and morphological errors in the writings of non-Arabic speaking Korean students at Sultan Qaboos University during the academic year 2023–2024. The research aims to answer two key questions: To what extent is classical Arabic used phonetically and morphologically in the writing of these students during the research period? What are the common phonetic and morphological writing errors among this group of students? The study collected writing samples from students on various topics to address these questions, systematically analysed the errors, and then classified, described, explained, and corrected them. The causes of these errors were also examined. The findings highlight a clear relationship between phonetic and morphological accuracy in writing and literary expression. The study concludes with recommendations for improving Arabic language teaching for non-native speakers and enhancing phonetic and morphological competence among Korean students.
