Social Structure in Light of the Sīrah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Its Educational Applications

الملخص

This study examines the concept of social structure as derived from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and its relevance to contemporary educational practices. The research underscores the significance of the Prophetic biography as both a primary source of Islamic guidance and a practical model for constructing a cohesive and morally sound society. Employing a deductive and analytical methodology, the study draws from selected events from the Prophet’s life, extracting educational lessons and evaluating their applicability to modern contexts. It defines social structure as the positive interaction, mutual support, and cooperative responsibility amongst members of the Muslim community, guided by Prophetic principles. The findings reveal three key foundations of this structure: the strengthening of social bonds, the clarification of ethical norms and etiquette, and the safeguarding of society from harmful influences. The research further highlights the educational applications of these principles across various social institutions, including family, mosque, and school, emphasising the necessity of collaboration to achieve a balanced and resilient social fabric. Ultimately, the study affirms that the Prophetic model of social structure offers a comprehensive paradigm for educational practices and community development in the modern era.
