Websites Developed to Counter Extremist Trends in Saudi Society: A Critical Content Analysis

This research aims to evaluate the contents of websites developed to counter extremism and terrorism in Saudi society. It also assesses their effectiveness and impact. The research further studies these websites, uncovers their role in preventing extremism and terrorism, and classifies their contents in four broader disciplines, that is, Islamic sciences, sociology, psychology, and literature. It highlights the importance of these disciplines for these websites and proposes to develop specific online courses of these disciplines. The present study applies a descriptive analytical methodology to describe and analyze the content.
