مُؤْتَمَر السِّيرَة الدُوَلِيّ: الاتِّجَاهَات الـمُعَاصِرَة فِي عِلم السِّيرَة النَّبَوِيَّـة: الـمَنَاهِج والتَّحَدِّيَات وَالآفَاق
تحظى دراسة سيرة النبي محمد ﷺ بأهمية عميقة في نطاق الدراسات الإسلامية. فمنذ نشأتها في القرن الأول الهجري، استمرت كتابات السيرة بأسلوب ملحوظة وتفانٍ كبير، مما نتج عنه إرث واسع ومتنوّع من أدبيات سيرة المصطفى ﷺ بلغات مختلفة. وقد تميّز العصر الحديث بإنتاج غزير في مجال دراسات السيرة، ما أفضى إلى ثروة من الكتابات التي تستحق التأمل العميق. إدراكًا لأهمية هذا التطور، يُنظّم المركز الدولي للتميز في دراسات السيرة، بمجمع البحوث الإسلامية، بالجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بإسلام آباد، باكستان بالاشتراك مع جامعة محمدي شريف، شينيوت وبالتعاون مع برنامج رئيس الوزراء للشباب، مؤتمر السيرة الدولي بعنوان "الاتجاهات المعاصرة في علم السيرة النبوية: المناهج والتحديات والآفاق" وذلك ضمن مشروع بحث تطبيقي حول سيرة الرسول ﷺ لبناء السلام وإعادة البناء الاجتماعي والمصالحة وذلك في الفترة من 23 إلى 24 أبريل 2025م. يهدف المؤتمر إلى مراجعة المناهج المتنوعة لدراسات السيرة وإجراء مسح نقدي للأعمال المعاصرة الكبرى، مع التركيز على الأُطر النظرية والمساهمات التي تقدمها هذه الدراسات في هذا المجال، وتقديم تقييم شامل لدراسات السيرة الحديثة، يسعى المؤتمر من خلال التحليل الدقيق للاتجاهات والمناهج والمحتوى الحالي في أدبيات السيرة استكشاف اتجاهات جديدة للبحث المستقبلي . وبينما يركّز المؤتمر بشكل رئيسي على دراسات السيرة النبوية المكتوبة باللغة العربية والإنجليزية والأردية، فإنه يسعى أيضًا إلى تسليط الضوء على أبعاد مختلفة لكتابة السيرة النبوية بلغات أخرى. ومن خلال هذا النهج، تواجه دراسات السيرة -في العصر الحديث- تحديات وفرصًا جديدة، خصوصًا فيما يتعلق بالمناهج والتفسيرات والتطبيقات. يسعى المؤتمر إلى تقديم صورة شاملة ودقيقة عن الأبعاد المعاصرة لدراسات السيرة في سياقات مختلفة. ومن المتوقع أن يُسهم هذا المؤتمر في تعزيز فهم المناهج الحديثة لدراسة السيرة، ومعالجة التحديات الحالية، ووضع خارطة طريق للبحث المستقبلي والتطبيق العملي المثمر.

International Sirah Conference: Contemporary Dimensions in the Study of the Sirah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):
Introduction of the Conference
The study of the Sirah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) holds profound significance within Islamic scholarship. Since its origin in the first century of Hijrah, the tradition of Sirah writing has continued with remarkable pace and dedication, resulting in a vast and diverse body of literature on the Prophet (peace be upon him) across various languages. The modern period has been exceptionally prolific in terms of Sirah scholarship, producing a wealth of writings that warrant close reflection. Recognizing the importance of this development, an international conference on Sirah is being organised under the joint auspices of the International Centre of Excellence for Sirah Studies, the Islamic Research Institute (IRI) and Jamia Muhammadi Sharif, Chiniot (JMSC) in collaboration with Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, during 23-24 April 2025. The conference seeks to review the diverse approaches to Sirah studies and critically survey major contemporary works, examining their theoretical frameworks and contributions to the field. While the conference will primarily focus on Sirah scholarship in Arabic, English and Urdu, it also seeks to highlight various dimensions of Sirah writing in other languages including Turkish, Persian, French, Spanish and German. By doing so, the conference aspires to present a comprehensive and nuanced picture of contemporary dimensions in Sirah studies across different linguistic and cultural contexts. By carefully analysing current trends, methodologies and content in Sirah literature, the conference aims to provide a holistic assessment of modern Sirah studies and to explore new directions for future research. In the contemporary era, Sirah studies face both fresh challenges and opportunities, particularly in terms of methodologies, interpretations, and applications. It is anticipated that this conference will deepen understanding of modern approaches to Sirah studies, address current challenges, and chart a path forward for future research and meaningful application.

بین الاقوامی سیرت کانفرنس: سیرت نگاری کی معاصر جہات
نبی کریم ﷺکی سیرت کا مطالعہ اسلامی علمی دنیا میں گہری اہمیت رکھتا ہے۔ ہجری کی پہلے صدی سے شروع ہونے والی سیرت نگاری کی روایت بڑی تیزی اور لگن کے ساتھ جاری ہے، جس کے نتیجے میں مختلف زبانوں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی سیرت پر ایک وسیع اور متنوع ذخیرہ وجود میں آیا ہے۔ جدید دور سیرت نگاری کے لحاظ سے غیر معمولی طور پر زرخیز رہا ہے، جس میں ایسی علمی کاوشیں شامل ہیں جو گہرے غور و فکر کی متقاضی ہیں۔
اسی پیش رفت کی اہمیت کو سامنے رکھتے ہوئے، 23-24 اپریل 2025 ء کو ایک بین الاقوامی کانفرنس منعقد کی جا رہی ہے۔ یہ کانفرنس بین الاقوامی مرکزِفضیلت برائے سیرت اسٹڈیز، ادارہ تحقیقاتِ اسلامی ، اور جامعہ محمدیہ شریف چنیوٹ کے مشترکہ اشتراک سے وزیر اعظم یوتھ پروگرام کے تعاون سے منعقد ہو رہی ہے۔
کانفرنس کا مقصد سیرت کے مطالعے کے مختلف ابعاد کا جائزہ لینا اور عصری علمی کاموں کا تنقیدی تجزیہ کرنا ہے، جس میں ان کے نظریاتی فریم ورک اور اس شعبے میں ان کی خدمات کو جانچا جائے گا۔
کانفرنس بنیادی طور پر عربی، انگریزی اور اردو زبانوں میں سیرت کے علمی کام پر توجہ مرکوز کرے گی، تاہم اس میں ترکی، فارسی، فرانسیسی، ہسپانوی اور جرمن زبانوں سمیت دیگر زبانوں میں سیرت نگاری کے مختلف پہلوؤں کو بھی اجاگر کیا جائے گا۔
کانفرنس کا مقصد مختلف لسانی اور ثقافتی سیاق و سباق میں سیرت نگاری کے عصری پہلوؤں کی جامع اور باریک بینی سے منظرکشی کرنا ہے۔ موجودہ رجحانات، طریقہ ہاے کار اور مواد کا تجزیہ کرتے ہوئے کانفرنس جدید سیرت نگاری کی جامع تشخیص فراہم کرنے اور مستقبل کی تحقیق کے لیے نئی راہیں تلاش کرنے کی کوشش کرے گی۔
عصر حاضر میں سیرت نگاری نئے چیلنجز اور مواقع دونوں کا سامنا کر رہی ہے، خاص طور پر طریقہ ہاے کار، تشریحات اور عملی اطلاق کے حوالے سے۔ توقع کی جاتی ہے کہ یہ کانفرنس جدید سیرت نگاری کے انداز کو گہرائی سے سمجھنے، موجودہ چیلنجز کو حل کرنے اور تحقیق اور مؤثر اطلاق کے لیے آئندہ کے راستے کا تعین کرنے میں مددگار ثابت ہوگی۔
کانفرنس کے مقاصد
- سیرت کے مطالعے میں متنوع نقطہ ہائے نظر کو دریافت کرنا: رسول اکرم ﷺ کی زندگی اور تعلیمات کے مطالعے کے لیے وسیع تر طریقۂ کار اور علمی نقطہ ہاےنظر کا جائزہ لینا، اور بین المضامین تعاون کو اجاگر کرنا جو سیرت کے جامع فہم کو بہتر بناتے ہیں۔
- بین الکلیاتی تحقیق کو فروغ دینا: سیرت کے مطالعے کو متنوع علمی شعبوں کے ساتھ ہم آہنگ کرتے ہوئے تحقیقی تعاون کو فروغ دینا تاکہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کی تعلیمات کی مختلف جہتوں سے روشنی ڈالی جا سکے اور ان کی عصری اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا جا سکے۔
- عصر حاضر کے چیلنجز کو حل کرنا: سیرت کے مطالعے میں موجودہ دور کے چیلنجز، جیسے متنی تشریحات، تاریخی صداقت، اور جدید معاشرتی مسائل اور ٹیکنالوجی کے ساتھ سیرت کی تعلیمات کو ہم آہنگ کرنے جیسے مسائل کی نشان دہی اور حل پیش کرنا۔
- سیرت اسکالرشپ کے لیے ترقی پسند راستہ متعین کرنا: سیرت کی تحقیق اور علمی کام کو آگے بڑھانے کے لیے قابل عمل حکمت عملی تیار کرنا، جس میں تحقیقی طریقۂ کار میں جدت، اہم متون کی تصحیح، اور ترجمے شامل ہوں تاکہ عالمی اور کثیرالثقافتی تناظر میں اس کی افادیت برقرار رکھی جا سکے۔
- علما، ماہرین تعلیم، اور کمیونٹی رہنماؤں کو شامل کرنا: اسلامی علما، ماہرین تعلیم، کمیونٹی رہنماؤں، اور اساتذہ کے درمیان مکالمے کے لیے ایک متحرک پلیٹ فارم تشکیل دینا تاکہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کی زندگی کو قیادت، اخلاقی حکمرانی، اور کمیونٹی کی تعمیر کے لیے ماڈل کے طور پر موجودہ تناظر میں زیر بحث لایا جا سکے۔

- مطالعہ سیرت میں سماجی تبدیلی کے لیے سلوکیاتی علوم کو ضم کرنا: سیرت کو بہتر طور پر سمجھنے کے لیے سلوکیاتی علوم کے اصولوں کو شامل کرناتاکہ سماجی اصولوں اور چیلنجز، جیسے بچوں اور انسانی حقوق، کو حل کیا جا سکے، اور سیرت کی تعلیمات کے ذریعے مثبت سلوکی تبدیلیوں کو فروغ دیا جا سکے۔ ان بصیرتوں کو اسلامی تحقیق اور کمیونٹی کے عمل میں مرکزی دھارے میں شامل کرنا، جامع سماجی تبدیلی اور پاکستانی معاشرے کے اندر اور اس سے باہر حقوق کے فروغ کا مقصد حاصل کرنا۔

Islamic Studies
Islamic Studies is a Scopus-indexed, peer-reviewed research journal in Islamics, published by the Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan, since 1962. Islamic Studies publishes research articles, notes, comments, review essays, archives, documents, profiles, seminar proceedings, and book reviews in all disciplines of Islamic studies including the Qur’anic and hadith sciences, sirah, theology, Islamic law and jurisprudence. Moreover, articles related to philosophy, psychology, anthropology, sociology, culture, civilization, architecture, political science, economics, language, literature, history, science and technology with a focus on Islamic studies contents are also published in it. Its contributors include some of the very best scholars from across the world. ادارہ تحقیقات اسلامی سے شائع ہونے والا ”فکر ونظر“ ممتاز پاکستانی تحقیقی و علمی مجلہ ہے جو جولائی۔اگست ۱۹۶۳ء سے باقاعدگی سے اردو زبان میں چھپ رہا ہے۔ یہ سہ ماہی مجلہ اسلام اور مسلم امہ سے متعلق امور پر تبصرہ و تجزیہ پیش کرتا ہے اور دور حاضر کے ممتاز مفکرین کی تحقیقات کو نہ صرف متخصصین بلکہ دنیا بھر میں اردو جاننے والے عام قارئین تک پہنچانے کا ذریعہ ہے۔

Fikr-o Nazar is a leading Pakistani refereed research journal published by Islamic Research Institute (IRI) since July-August 1963 in Urdu language. It is a quarterly journal dedicated to provide analysis and commentary on issues related to Islam and Muslim Ummah. It brings together many of today's most innovative and distinguished thinkers, making their research available not just to specialists but also to a wider audience of globally concerned readers in Urdu language.
Fikr-o Nazar covers all areas of Islamic Studies and enjoys a good international reputation among scholarly Journals in Urdu. From time to time the journal has brought out special issues on different themes. Its landmark publications have been received well by both scholars and general readers. The contributors to Fikr-o Nazar include some of the most eminent scholars and thinkers of South Asia.
Fikr-o Nazar is an interdisciplinary journal of peer-reviewed research and informed opinion on the various issues of Islamic Thought. Me'yar معیار
The Department of Urdu, International Islamic University was established in 2007. From the very beginning, the department has focused on teaching and research as one of its top-most priorities. Consequently, in 2009, the department launched a research journal, Me’yar, which was received well by the eminent national and international scholars and academic circles soon after its publication. In 2010 it was recognized by the Higher Education Commission as well. Prof. Dr. Moin-ud-Din Aqeel, Dean Faculty of Languages and Literature and Dr. Najeeba Arif, In-charge Department of Urdu (F) were the founder editors of Me’yar. Dr. Aziz Ibnul Hasan, Chairperson Department of Urdu has been the editor of this journal since 2013. Me’yar is being published regularly since then and has published 24 issues in the previous twelve years. It is well-known for the quality of its research articles and the procedures and measures adopted to ensure the impartiality.

The Islamabad Law Review (ISSN 1992-5018) is resuming publication to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between the bench, the bar and the faculty on legal developments and legal reform in Pakistan. Peer-reviewed research publications are indispensable for the enhancement of knowledge and understanding of current legal issues, as well as for the professional development of a large number of law teachers and other legal scholars. Previously, in Pakistan, there was hardly any outlet for this need. Consequently, most legal research was published in common periodicals and newspapers, without much regard for the ethics and style of juristic and academic research. The Islamabad Law Review endeavors to fill that void to the best of the ability of its team and with the support of legal researchers and academicians from all over Pakistan, and hopefully, abroad.
Mission of Islamabad Law Review
The Islamabad Law Review has both a professional and an educational mission. It is designed to serve the legal profession, the bench, the bar and the academia by providing a forum for the publication of original high quality legal research. The ILR also seeks to improve the law and its administration by providing a forum that identifies contemporary issues, proposes concrete means to accomplish change, and evaluates the impact of law reform, especially within the context of Islamic Law.
Focus and Scope
We welcome research on a diversified range of legal topics. Our institutional background means that we always maintain a more than passing interest in various issues in relations to Islamic Law, and keeping in with the strategic mission of our Faculty, we would always welcome research on any area of Islamic Law, particularly if the research focuses on a comparative law aspect of that issue. Similarly, foreign writers are also welcome to write on international law, comparative law, conflict of laws, jurisprudence, or any other issues that interest lawyers the world over. We hope that the members of the bench, the bar and the faculty will join us in furthering the mission of the Islamabad Law Review by contributing articles to future issues. -

Journal of Contemporary Poetics (JCP) is a bi-annual, double blind peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of English, International Islamic University, Islamabad. JCP is a multidisciplinary journal which publishes articles from various disciplines of social sciences and humanities with particular focus on linguistics and literature.
